Overview

Hoag Faith Community Nursing invites you to the 25th Annual Hoag Spirituality Conference: The Spirituality of Humanity and Humility to explore the deep connections between human identity, compassionate presence, and the spiritual foundations necessary to support well-being. Designed for healthcare professionals, faith leaders and all persons interested in the intersection of spirituality and human flourishing, and their influence on health and wellness. This course examines how humility, empathy, and mindful awareness shape our ability to care for others and for ourselves. Participants will spend a day with engaging speakers, emerge with new tools and resources, have an opportunity to connect with local and regional healthcare vendors, and enjoy networking and fellowship with others. Attendees are encouraged to apply speakers’ concepts within the framework of their own faith or belief system.

CEU Description:

Through an interdisciplinary lens drawing from psychology, ethics, theology, and the healing arts, participants will investigate the spiritual dimensions of what it means to be human: our capacity for connection, our vulnerability, our search for meaning, and our shared dignity. Emphasis is placed on the practice of humility as a transformative posture that strengthens therapeutic relationships, enhances clinical decision-making, reduces burnout, and fosters deeper trust with patients, families, and colleagues

  4. Evaluate how humility contributes to ethical behavior, interdisciplinary collaboration, and equitable care.
