This accredited nursing conference is designed to provide registered nurses with the latest trends and updates in emergency care, including legal aspects of nursing, ESI triage, geriatric emergency care, ECMO, pediatric readiness, and strategies to combat nursing burnout. During this one-day in-person event, attendees will engage in an intimate learning environment with Hoag faculty and guest speakers, gaining practical strategies to enhance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:


  1. Describe the key legal considerations for nurses in the Emergency Department
  2. Correctly identify the importance of vital signs in the triage assessment process
  3. Describe the strategies to implement when leading change in a busy and complex ED
  4. Articulate the emerging role of ECMO in cardiac resuscitation
  5. Name 5 practical tools all ED Nurses should have to be peds ready
  6. State the possible signs and address any implicit bias surrounding Human trafficking and respond appropriately
  7. Discuss the tools that must be used to prevent burnout
