This accredited nursing conference is designed to provide registered nurses with current healthcare trends in patient care as well as innovative and informative updates specific to nursing care in the hospital setting. During this one-day in-person conference, attendees will benefit from in intimate learning environment in which Hoag faculty and guest speakers will present the latest in patient care and provide practical strategies and tools to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:


  1. Discuss ERAS history, current utilization and where it's headed.
  2. Identify at least five benefits of ERAS
  3. Discuss innovations and improvements in Forgut Surgery.
  4. Discuss the benefits of robotic surgery in GYN oncology patients.
  5. List at least three complications associated with Hepatobiliary Surgery
  6. Describe purpose and expected outcomes for Endovascular surgery.
  7. Discuss the benefits of obtaining an advanced degree in nursing.
  8. Understand the pros of recognizing implicit bias.
