Overview

The Midlife Multidisciplinary Advisory Council Monthly Series is designed to enhance clinician knowledge, confidence, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the care of women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. Clinicians across various specialties frequently encounter challenges in identifying and managing the diverse and sometimes overlapping symptoms of menopause, particularly when these intersect with chronic conditions or specialty-specific treatments. Each session focuses on a different aspect of menopause care, fostering dialogue and collaboration across disciplines to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care for midlife women.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe the breadth and complexity of menopausal care and its multidisciplinary management.
  2. Review guideline-directed and evidence-based treatment of signs and symptoms of menopause.
  3. Clarify the roles of diff erent specialties in the multidisciplinary care of patients, including was to manage as fi rst-line providers and when to refer, timing of referrals, and baseline laboratories and imaging studies.

Accreditation
Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is accredited by California Medical Association (CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
