Overview
Lung Tumor Boards are cased-based conferences where an audience of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals discuss and apply the current standards of oncology care and clinical practice guidelines to optimize the management of patients with lung cancer.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply the current standards of oncology care and clinical practice guidelines to optimize the management of patients with lung cancer.
  2. Review new, emerging, and novel therapeutic agents and treatment strategies and incorporate these into the management of patients with lung cancer.
  3. Communicate the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and improve the collaborative performance of the interprofessional oncology care team in the management of patients with lung cancer.
  4. Discuss the use of fluoroscopic techniques, equipment and radiation safety principles in the diagnosis and biopsy of suspected intrathoracic malignancies.
  5. Assess the appropriate use of fluoroscopy and radiation safety principles intraoperatively during lung sparing surgical resection of intrathoracic malignancies.
