Overview

Join us for an engaging CEU session led by Lisa Jenkins, President and CEO of the Council on Aging - Southern California.  She will be joined by Marilyn Fedorow, Gerontologist and Program Director as they share ‘Aging My Way – My Life, My Plan’ designed to provide thought provoking strategies to help you to be proactive and intentional in helping your clients plan for their aging experience.

 

The session includes review of the 8 key components that comprise a plan for refining retirement and aging.  You will learn how to share key elements of the plan with your clients to drive successful outcomes.

 


Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:


  1. Teach clients how to assemble a care team and how to communicate with their care team about their thoughts and plans for aging
  2. Provide thought-provoking questions with clients to help them plan for their aging and retirement goals
  3. Provide strategies to help clients find purpose and social connections through lifelong learning and suggest new retirement goals

Registration

Hoag Faith Community Nursing monthly meeting presents Aging My Way, My life, My Plan with Lisa Jenkins, President and CEO Council on Aging, So. California. This course is FREE and open to all Hoag RNs and staff. Lunch will be provided. No CEU credit for this presentation.


Accreditation

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is accredited by California Board of Registered Nurses to provide continuing education for nurses. This Live Activity is designated for the maximum of 1.0 contact hours. (BRN Provider: 17163)
